That’s Amore – Diablo Symphony Annual Gala

The Diablo Symphony Orchestra’s annual fund raising gala returns! “That’s Amore” will take place at the Rossmoor Event Center on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 6:00 pm for Rossmoor residents and their guests. Come celebrate love — your love for the symphony — Italian-style! A delicious Italian sit-down dinner catered catered by Sunrise Bistro will be presented.  Wine is available by the bottle at the Wine Sale station, or by the glass at the cash bar, along with beer, soft drinks and our signature cocktail, a Perfect Manhattan.  Also featured will be a silent auction with a variety of event tickets, hand crafted items, and gift baskets.  Cocktails and the silent auction begin at 6 pm, with dinner and the live auction beginning at 7 pm.

This year’s event promises to be especially lively as the live auction portion will again feature professional auctioneer Kenn Cunningham, who is known for his high energy entertainment and inclusive and fun style.  Get together with your friends to bid on a magnum from Caymus Vinyards for your table during the “High-Low” game, or, for those with a sweet tooth, bid on one of the gourmet cakes for dessert.  “Conduct the Orchestra” and “Join the Percussion Section” are sure to be hotly contested live auction items.

The annual gala is our major fundraiser of the season. Like all non-profit arts groups, our ticket sales do not cover all of our expenses, and we rely on this event as well as your donations to fund the DSO and its Outreach Programs, including Music For Our Schools, the Instrument Petting Zoo and Family Concert, and the Musical Instrument Drive. Your presence at our gala reinforces your participation in our musical activities and we look forward to seeing you there.
