Gala 2026 – A wonderful success!

Thank you to all who joined us at this year’s “Sounds of Vienna” gala—truly an unforgettable evening of music, dance, camaraderie, and enthusiastic support for the DSO. The silent and live auctions, together with the popular “paddle raise,” raised more than $21,000, funding the DSO’s outreach programs that take concerts to elementary and middle schools and bring students to the Lesher Center to experience full orchestra performances in a concert hall setting. More than 800 young students came to the Lesher Center from multiple schools on March 24 to hear Benjamin Britten’s “Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra,” an exhilarating piece that introduces and showcases the instruments of the orchestra. The audience was also excited to see twelve year old Ellie Xuan, winner of the DSO’s Yen Liang Young Artists Competition, brilliantly perform the first movement of Edvard Grieg’s piano concerto. Concluding a concert that brought the applauding students to their feet was John Williams’s “Star Wars, Main Title.” The DSO is most certainly grateful for the wonderful support that makes producing high quality regular and outreach concerts possible!
