Bay Area native Rebecca Garcia is thrilled to work with Diablo Symphony Orchestra. Her numerous leading roles include La Bohème, Romeo and Juliet, La Sonnambula, Rigoletto, La Traviata, Elisir d’Amore, Carmen, as well as others with companies in Mexico, USA, Italy and France. Rebecca is a recipient of the prestigious Mario Lanza Award, Annamaria Saritelli-DiPanni Bel Canto Award, Placido Domingo’s Operalia Finalist, as well as well as a first place winner of the East and West Coast Metropolitan Opera Competition and National Finalist. She has performed various roles and concerts with Chautauqua Opera, Oberlin Opera, Cleveland Opera, Opera Jalisco in Mexico, Livermore Valley Opera and Festival Opera Walnut Creek. Rebecca can next be seen as Nedda in Pagliacci for Festival Opera. Rebecca is also a trained stage actress and has studied at the Actor’s Studio New York and featured in plays with Faye Dunaway in Master Class and Informed Consent with Mirra Bank. She is dedicated to Diablo Symphony’s Outreach Opera Program and other support for the company.
