Open to soloists born after September 22, 1989. An applicant may not be employed full time as a professional musician. Documentation of age and/or employment may be required at the discretion of the coordinator. |

Applicants must submit a CD of 8 - 10 minutes each from contrasting movements of a concerto for possible selection to compete on May 12, 2012. At the competition the concerto must be performed from memory and be at least 15 minutes long. |

Send the $25 application fee, the completed application form and CD to the competition coordinator. If you want the CD returned, enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope. |

The application and CD must be postmarked by April 20, 2012. |
|
|
|
CDs will be reviewed to determine which applicants qualify for the competition. Competition acceptance will be announced by April 27, 2012. A scheduled time for each contestant and map of the route to the competition site will be mailed at that time. |

|
Contestants will provide an accompaniest, if needed. A warm up room will be available for all contestants. |

|
First Prize: $1000 Honorarium and a contract to perform a previously auditioned composition in concert with the Diablo Symphony Orchestra on November 16, 2012 at the Gateway Clubhouse in Rossmoor and November 18, 2012 at the Lesher Center for the Arts, Walnut Creek CA.
Second Prize: $500 and an award plaque.
